Susanne Kaufmann Tonic & Day Cream – The Susanne Kaufmann tonic clarifying is a refreshing toner that clarifies the skin without drying it out. With combination skin, I am always concerned about toners being over-drying and after finding this tonic, I no longer have to worry about this step in my routine. Kaufmann’s Day Cream Line T has also made its way into my routine as the final step in the morning before makeup. The Line T contains an herbal complex of camomile, sage and St. John’s Wort flowers, which nourish & moisturize without any greasy residue.
Avène Eau Thermale & Cicalfate – Avène Thermal Spring Water is in my purse 24/7 in the summer and is my skin’s savior from NYC heat & humidity. Originating as pure rain mixed with sea-spray rich in mineral salts, Avène Thermal Spring Water soothes, softens and calms skin, replenishing the moisture and provides a refreshing sensation. The Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream is new to my beauty closet but will quickly become a fave because it helps reduce the appearance of scarring. My pale complexion makes any scratch, nick, or mark very visible and I am extremely susceptible to scaring no matter how much Neosporin or Maderma I slather on so Cicalfate is going to be my next test product on my less-than-cute scars.
Earth Therapeutics Clari-T and Collagen Hydrogel Under-Eye Patch – Tea Tree oil was the first skincare treatment I ever used for my acne and has always been tried and true! This is the first time I’ve ever seen tea tree in nose strips so immediately my interest was peaked and I knew I had to try Earth Therapeutics Clari-T pore cleansing strips. No matter how many mud masks I’ve uses, I can’t seem to clear out my blackheads around my nose…until now! In addition to my endless stuggle with blackheads, I suffer from dark under-eye circles. Since I had success with Earth Therapeutics pore strips, I gave their recovery patches a try and I now use then 2-3x/week to soothe puffiness and swelling and relieve dark circles.
Hydropeptide Nimni Cream – Up until recently, my main concern when looking for a cream was how moisturizing and non-greasy is the formula. Now as I inch closer to my 30’s I am more concerned with finding a cream that is full of antioxidants and retinol to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I switch out using the Susanne Kaufmann Day Cream in the morning with Hydropeptide Nimni Cream, gradually introducing retinol into my routine. While this won’t replace the occasional Botox shot, it is a step in the preventative direction.
