Editor’s Note: “Instagram Fashion Finds” is a blog series featuring designers and brands I’ve stumbled across in my endless Instagram scrolling. While some of the designers are couture and others ready-to-wear, each brand has caught my eye because of their visual aesthetic and overall style vibe.
A R J É is the love child of the husband and wife duo Bessie Afnaim Corral and Oliver Corral, conceived in 2016 and presented to the world in February 2017. However as the origins of its name would suggest, ‘The Essence of Everything’A R J É has been gathering momentum and solidity for much longer.
Developed as one of the first ‘See Now, Buy Now’ brands, A R J É was created as a reaction to the husband and wife duo’s combined experience as creative heads of a luxury lifestyle brand. The couple believed the landscape of fashion was broken and believe luxury fashion is no longer adapted to the ease and logic of present life.
Launched as an effortless collection of luxurious wardrobe essentials, each “Collection” is defined as a “Chapter”. The “Chapters” align with the Corral’s design philosophy that everything is connected, from season to season, year to year; each Chapter is part of a larger story. Each new “Chapter” is presented three times a year and available for purchase two weeks after it has been launched versus the industries standard 6 month time frame. Their adaptive business model returns both a buyer and consumer to impulse engagement.
The couple created A R J É not only to reflect and adapt to new consumer behaviors, but also as a brand which reflects their own well-travelled, and semi-nomadic lifestyles.
