Drench your skin with a liquid cloud of pure, endless moisture. Sound like an infomercial? Nope! It’s a PR pitch that sucked me in just like this product is going to suck in moisture.
When Peter Thomas Roth’s new Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream and Hyaluronic Cloud Serum launched they were sold out in stores EVERYWHERE. I’m talking tumbleweeds are left on the Sephora shelves. But why? I had to know what was so special about Roth’s new must-have!
The Cloud Cream is concentrated with 30% Hyaluronic Acid and the Cloud Serum 75% Hyaluronic Acid. Translation: Hyaluronic Acid is a potent hydrator that constantly attracts and retains up to 1,000 times its weight in water from moisture in the atmosphere. Then, Ceramides help lock in that moisture.
Putting it to the test against my regular moisturizer (I won’t name names), I noticed a difference when applying my concealer the next morning. Suddenly my concealer went on more smoothly and there was no “tugging” of product across my imperfections. Yes, my skin felt quenched but would I kill myself to find it on a Sephora shelf once I ran out? Unlikely.
