When you have diagnosed OCD and own pets, the combination can be cause for anxiety. No matter how consistent you are in your cleaning routine, the home never seems to be rid of pet hair. That was, until the Dyson Cyclone V10.
Dyson is on a mission to kill the corded vacuum, and with the Cyclone V10 the company claims its finally done it, producing a cordless vacuum so powerful that you’ll never want a wire. Although I’m not sure who would want a wire over a cordless vacuum anyways.
There are three versions of the V10 available, which differ in color and which attachments you get, but are otherwise identical. According to Dyson, the Cyclone V10 has a total redesign that makes the V10 a significant leap forward from the V8 – hence skipping the 9 – improving battery life, suction power, efficiency, and usability. The Cyclone V10 is a cordless, battery-powered stick vacuum with a self-contained bin. Making the new vacuum more efficient, Dyson redesigned the bin to move parallel to the main shaft, rather than perpendicular. This helps facilitate a point-and-release method of emptying the bin. In terms of performance, the V10 sucks…hard! With three modes (1, 2, and Max) dust, dirt, and hair are no match. The extra brush heads and extensions make the cleaning machine suitable for carpets, hard floors, and basically any surface where debris can hide. Yes, even those tight spots in couch cushions!
As always with a cordless, the battery is your only limitation. V10 boasts an hour charge, which is a step up from the V8 at 40 minutes but beware: the hour battery life is on the lowest suction mode and not on 2 or max, which crank up suction and also suck battery life to as low as 10-15 minutes. Bottom line: save the max speed for quick pick-up messes and not an all-out 3 bedroom home clean!
