You can always count on Daddy Karl Lagerfeld to put on a spectacle during Paris Fashion Week and the Fall/Winter 2018/19 ready-to-wear collection was no different. Daddy transformed the Grand Palais into a woodsy moss-covered forest. The perfect setting for a brisk autumn walk with your dog…if you’re into that sort of thing.
As the smell of rich soil wafted through the air, Grace Elizabeth opened the show in a black velvet overcoat and a crisp white collared shirt. Parading through crunchy fall leaves (which Daddy was adamant I couldn’t pounce in. #Buzzkill)in western shape metallic gold over-the-knee boots and patent leather brogues, models dressed in Chanel’s signature tweeds, metallic boxy trousers, printed dresses and coats, colorful opera length fingerless gloves, faux fur coats, quilted puffers, black lace gowns, oversized scarves, and mismatched Chanel double C earrings.
With a total of 80 looks, Daddy gradually wove in bright hues of blue, orange, and pink alongside classic Fall shades of black and grey. While the mods got to take a leisurely stroll, creating 80 looks was not exactly a walk in the park for Daddy, but as per usual, he outdid himself with another immersive experience.
Can I please finally pounce in the leaves?
