Editor’s Note: “Instagram Fashion Finds” is a new blog series featuring designers and brands I’ve stumbled across in my endless Instagram scrolling. While some of the designers are couture and others ready-to-wear, each brand has caught my eye because of their visual aesthetic and overall style vibe.
Founded in 2014, the Chloe Gosselin luxury shoe brand blends an effortless cool French vibe with Italian craftsmanship. Gosselin’s passion for contemporary art and design, music and priceless vintage artifacts, results in a collection that is not trend led. She designs for women like herself; she creates the kind of shoes that she wants to wear because she is the Chloe Gosselin customer.
After completing her education at the renowned Fine Arts Program at the School of Lacambre in Belgium, Gosselin began her fashion career as a model. This career path took her around the world, making her a highly respected and sought-after international model. Following a decade of travel as an international model she again returned to school, this time to study shoemaking and production at Ars Sutoria in Milan and at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. It is at FIT where her brand is born.
Quickly, she identified a niche in the luxury shoe market for timeless and understated designs that suit the modern woman and all aspects of their daily lives. Each shoe is designed in her New York studio and handmade in a remote town a few miles from central Milan. Emphasis is on classic design, the finest fabrics and exceptional craftsmanship with a distinctive youthfulness and fun aesthetic.
Previously listed as a ‘brand to watch’, Chloe Gosselin’s ability to constantly deliver sought after collections and classic designs, has reinforced her position at the forefront of the global luxury footwear market. The brand has rapidly gained momentum and is now stocked internationally in the world’s most illustrious department stores and online destinations such as Barneys, Lane Crawford, La Rinascente and Boutique 1. Chloe Gosselin has become the go-to shoe brand worn to events including the Grammys and Golden Globes by Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Taylor Swift and Kate Winslet amongst others.
